ACLASTA INFUSIONS

Burwood Health offers Aclasta Infusions to treat and prevent osteoporosis and other conditions that result in bone loss.

The infusion works by slowing down the rate at which bone is broken down in the body, helping to increase bone density and reduce the risk of fractures.

An Aclasta infusion is a treatment using the drug zoledronic acid

If it is recommended by your doctor to have an Aclasta Infusion, you will be contacted by one of our nursing team to complete two (2) separate appointments.

The first appointment is to complete Aclasta Paperwork.  This takes approximately 20 minutes and is a separate fee to the infusion.

The second appointment (which will be coordinated by the practices nursing team) will be for the infusion.  This is completed in the practice in one of the specified Infusion clinic times.  The infusion takes approximately 1 hour.

Aclasta infusions provide a convenient and effective way to manage bone loss and prevent fractures in patients with osteoporosis or other bone conditions.

If you would like to find out more about Aclasta Infusions, please contact the practice and ask to speak to a nurse.
