INCREASE TO CSC FEES
We would like to inform our patients that from Monday, 11th August 2025, our CSC (Community Services Card) consultation fee will increase to $20.
This decision has not been made lightly.

Burwood Health is located opposite Ōruapaeroa (Travis Wetlands) on Mairehau Road and was opened in 2019 to the local community.
Over the past five years, the practice has continued to grow to meet the health needs of the area.

Burwood Health currently holds both Foundation Standards and Cornerstone Accreditation, allowing us to be a teaching practice. We now have a GPEP1 Registrar as a part of our team.
Burwood Health also has available a Health Improvement Practitioner and Health Coach to assist patients gain the knowledge and skills to help with a range of health and wellbeing concerns.

HealthOne is a South Island based secure electronic record that allows registered healthcare providers directly involved in your healthcare, to quickly access information such as your test results, allergies, medications, GP summaries and hospital information. HealthOne adheres to the principles of the Privacy Act 2020 as well as the Rules set out in the Health Information Privacy Code 2020. Access is only possible via an approved highly secure healthcare information network which is regularly audited and tested. COMMUNICATING WITH THE PRACTICE
Since the pandemic, the way patients access medical services has changed.
Burwood Health has seen an increase in the number of phone calls that our team receive on a daily basis, however, phone calls are not the only way to communicate with the practice.
There are several ways you can communicate with the practice:

For non-urgent requests, except for booking or cancelling appointments, patients can email our team on reception@burwoodhealth.co.nz. Please allow up to 3 business days for a response.
Patient Portal:
Burwood Health utilizes Manage My Health as our patient portal, giving patients access to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions and review test results from their cell phone or home computer. If you are not currently registered for Manage My Health email our team or complete an application via this link

AFTER HOURS APPOINTMENTS
These services are available for people who need medical attention when their regular healthcare providers are unavailable, such as in the evening, on weekends, or during holidays.
