Burwood Health is proud to offer a caring, accepting and safe environment for all of our patients.

Welcome to Burwood Health

At Burwood Health, we are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare. Since opening in November 2019, we have continued to grow, expanding our services and team to better meet the needs of our community.

As a Pegasus Health practice, we are part of a network dedicated to improving primary healthcare services. We hold both Foundation Standards and Cornerstone Accreditation, reflecting our commitment to excellence, safety, and continuous improvement in patient care.

Our experienced team includes General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff, along with a Health Improvement Practitioner and a Health Coach, all working together to provide comprehensive medical care. As a teaching practice, we take pride in supporting the next generation of GPs, ensuring they gain valuable experience while enhancing the quality of care we offer.

Whether you need routine medical care, support for a long-term condition, or guidance on improving your well-being, Burwood Health is here for you.

Dr Sarah McFadden is leaving Burwood Health

We wish to advise that Dr Sarah McFadden will be leaving Burwood Health as at 31 December 2025. Dr McFadden has been an important and valued part of our team for many years, and her presence at the practice will be greatly missed by both staff and patients alike.

We are pleased to share that Dr Rachael Bruce will be continuing with Burwood Health following the completion of her registrar training and will begin enrolling patients from February 2026.

In the interim, all of Dr McFadden’s enrolled patients will be under the care of Sarah Clark (Nurse Practitioner).

Please be assured that you do not need to take any action during this transition. Your enrolment will remain active with Burwood Health, and our team will ensure continuity of your care.

We thank Dr McFadden for her many years of dedicated service to our patients and wish her all the very best for the future.

Stay Protected: Check Your Measles Immunisation Status

With recent cases of measles appearing in Aotearoa New Zealand, it’s more important than ever to make sure you are up to date with your Measles (MMR) vaccinations.

If you’re unsure about your immunisation status, or whether you may be eligible for a funded MMR vaccine, please get in touch with our team β€” we’re happy to check your records and advise you.

You are eligible for a funded Measles (MMR) vaccine if you:

  • Were born after 1969 and

  • Or if your vaccination history is unknown or incomplete
  • Children receive funded doses as part of the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule

Most adults need two doses for full protection.
